Description
Some believe the cellar is the lowest part of the building, but look closer. Hidden amongst the debris, junk, and other innocuous storage items in the cellar is an entrance leading downstairs. If found, the steps lead down to a ledge at the edge of putrid water. On the ledge is a set of ruins, the abandoned remnants of an old chamber looking down the waters that vanish into the darkness of a tunnel. Who knows what might lurk down here.
Encounter Hook
Following a thief into the cellar of a tavern as they try to escape, the party finds itself in a room packed with junk and storage space. Curiously, the thief is nowhere to be seen. On investigation, however, some of the junk covers a concealed entrance. If opened, it leads down into a ledge with some cobwebbed ruins at a foul-smelling body of water. The thief stands waiting for the party, however, a devious smile on their face, as from behind the ruins or dragged from the water emerge creatures the thief has brought some fresh meat.
